Industry 4.0 has introduced new challenges for worker safety as human-machine interaction increases. Netgroup has developed a Security Monitoring device to ensure the protection of workers in case of accidents or illnesses, redefining the concept of health in the industrial environment
The advent of technology, as part of Industry 4.0, has brought significant improvements in occupational health and safety conditions. However, the increasing interaction between humans and digital technologies presents new challenges in protecting worker safety. This change affects not only production processes, but also workers’ needs and risks to their health. The relationship between humans and technology is expected to intensify in the future, driven by accelerating technological progress.
Progress that, intensified by the pandemic, has raised additional risks related to changes in physical work spaces, bringing to attention the importance of mental health protection. Here, future prospects are directed toward the dimension of psychological well-being and the redefinition of workers’ rights with regulations updated to the new dynamics dictated by modernity.
Giorgio Nocerino, of Netgroup’s B.U. Business Innovation Factory, exposes us to new technologies to support the protection and monitoring of workers’ health conditions
Netgroup offers an innovative answer to ensure the safety of workers through its Security Monitoring device. It has various features designed to prevent and protect the welfare of employees.
The device enables monitoring of operators’ health conditions, especially in solitary work situations or in unmanned areas.
With Security Monitoring, it is possible to verify the actual operations of personnel, identifying any downtime states due to illness or other emergencies.
Equipped with an active tag and motion sensor, the device can detect the operator’s state of consciousness. In case of inability to call for help, the system automatically triggers a distress call.
The device also includes an emergency button that allows the operator to autonomously initiate a distress call in case of an impending emergency, thus improving responsiveness and timeliness in assistance.
location tracking
sending alerts to operators
Integration with employee database

In a world where technology and innovation continue to transform the way we work, Netgroup is committed to being at the forefront of worker protection. With our Security Monitoring device, we have set a new standard for security in Industry 4.0, proving that it is possible to embrace technological progress without compromising human well-being.
