Mocerino to CyberSec: “AI power to be carefully managed”
On March 6 and 7, the CyberSec 2024, the 3rd edition of the international conference promoted and organized by the newspaper Cybersecurity Italy.

Cybersecurity in the Age of AI

Great space was given to the world of Artificial Intelligence, and a particole aspect of the topic was focused on by our President Giuseppe Mocerino.
Artificial intelligence and mad cow syndrome
Since its inception, AI has been a divisive topic: will it always be a friend to man? With his own speech, Mocerino aimed to provide one of the many answers to this question.
Indeed, although AI algorithms have always been surrounded by alarmism, it is undeniable that humans already make extensive use of this technology to save time and money. What would happen, however, if the algorithms themselves began to feed on “synthetic,” that is, AI-generated, data?
Between the 1980s and 1990s mad cow disease developed, a syndrome neither viral nor bacterial, a mystery. In time it became clear that an animal protein was at the root. Some studies argue that the fate of AI algorithms could be the same: continue to generate synthetic data until self-destructive output is achieved.
So, what future lies ahead?
