EU fights for digital sovereignty
Artificial intelligence algorithms, as President Mocerino pointed out during his speech, remain a man-made technology, and its use must protect human beings. It is up to institutions and individual governments to provide clarity on the correct ways to use it.
“I hear little about digital sovereignty, yet we are in the presence of a U.S.-China duopoly. Europe needs to strike a blow. The focus of the next European Parliament on cybersecurity and AI issues must be central,” concluded President Giuseppe Mocerino.
