Innovation Village 2023: Netgroup on AI, cybersecurity and technology development
On May 10 and 11, 2023, the 8th edition of Innovation Village, an event organized by Knowledge for Business, Sviluppo Campania and ENEA – EEN Bridg€conomies Consortium, was held in collaboration with the Campania Region – Department of Research, Innovation and Start up.
The event, held at Villa Doria D’Angri (Naples), represents Southern Italy’s premier innovation-themed event.
Netgroup actively participated in this important two-day event dedicated to networking among research, business, PA, startups, professionals and associations.
Event "AI and Generative Models: misuse and bias"
During the first day of the Innovation Village, the event “AI and Generative Models: misuse and bias” was held. The discussion was attended by leading professionals in the field, so as to promote a constructive and as wide-ranging discussion as possible on these highly topical issues, mainly concerning misconceptions about the increasingly widespread use of chatbots, generative models and artificial intelligence systems.
The conference was also an opportunity for our Angelo Falvo, BU Head of IT Application Development, to tell how the concept of ethics is declined by Netgroup with respect to the world of ICT:
Digital transformation as a key asset for SMEs and PA: Netgroup discussed this with other PRIDE project partner companies
The second day of the event featured Netgroup’s participation in the event “EDIH PRIDE: innovative technologies and services to support SMEs’ digital transition.”
The PRIDE (Regional Pole for Evolved Digital Innovation) project, under the coordination of Campania Digital Innovation Hub – Rete Confindustria Scarl, is among the 13 Italian EDIHs (European Digital Innovation Hubs) funded by the European Commission and can count on an industrial and scientific partnership made up of the “Meditech – Mediterranean Competence Center 4 Innovation” Consortium, Cerict – Regional Competence Center in ICT, and ICAR – Institute of High Performance Computing and Networks of the CNR.
During the talk, Dr. Serena Iossa, PRIDE Project Management Unit, outlined the goals and opportunities of the PRIDE project, then let our Angelo Falvo, Service Unit of the project, present the catalog of the hub’s services according to the three trajectories Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing and Cybersecurity.
The event held in the context of the Innovation Village was an opportunity to bring attention to the importance of creating a regional ecosystem that can provide facilitation and financing tools to support investments by SMEs and public administration, to facilitate their access to Industry 4.0 technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing and Cybersecurity solutions.
