It's been the first «address» in London, and it is Number 1, London. It was re-opened last year,
after being closed for a long time.

Bracken House

It used to be the head office of the Financial Times.

Buckingham Palace

Last year part of the palace was opened to the public for the first time.
Here is where you can see the famous Changing of the Guard, at11.30 am everyday in summer and on alternate days in winter. Arrive early or you won't be able to see anything !

Carlyle's House
U South Kensington

It was home to the famous historian and philosopher Thomas Carlyle (1795-1881).

Chatham House

Dating back to the mid-1700, it was the residence of the Prime Minister.

Dr Johnson's House
U Temple or Chancery Lane       17 Gough Square

Samuel Johnson lived here from 1748 to 1758.

Dudley House

By Atkinson, finished in 1827.

Kensington Palace
U Queensway, High St. Kensington or Notting Hill Gate

Members of the Royal Family have lived here for a couple of centuries. Queen Victoria was born in this beautiful palace in 1819.

Lambeth Palace

It's the official residence in London of the Archibishop of Canterbury

Lancaster House
U St Jamses's Park or Green Park.

It was built to become the private residence of the Duke of York

Leighton House

Linley Sambourne House
U High St. Kensington       18 Stafford Terrace
Open March-October  wed 10.00-16.00 and sun 14.00-17.00

It was home to the famous cartoonist Edward Linley Sambourne, who made «Punch» (a satirical
newspaper) famous.

Royal Albert Hall
U Knightsbridge or S.th Kensington

Built in 1867-71 in Itaaìlian style, it's a huge circular building now used for concerts and meetings.
