Maurizio Pietrantonio

Maurizio Pietrantonio, artistic director of the "Sorrentina Musical Summer" Festival, from the 1985 edition, was born in Rome in 1956.

A musician, violinist, music critic and from 1981, artistic director, giving life to the "Musical Meetings of Scanno".

Under the direction of Renzo Giacchieri, has collaborated with the San Carlo Theatre of Naples as the social and scholastic activity delegate, contributing to the drawing up of numerous critique pubblications.

Artistic director of various editions of the International Pianistic Competition "Paolo Denza" of Capri and artistic consultant of concert exhibition, from 1980 is holder of the violin desk at the State Conservatorium of Music "Domenico Cimarosa" of Avellino.

From June 1999 he will represent the Campania Regional Government on the board of directors of the San Carlo Teatre Foundation.
